This event aims to bring community leaders together, to facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge between leaders.

Hosted by the Groundup Central and Centre for Non-Profit Leadership Teams at NVPC, join us for the “Collaborative Leadership Workshop” workshop happening on 15th September 2022. In this workshop, you can look forward to a comfortable sharing session between like-minded mentors and mentees. At the same time, be reinvigorated by our speakers in our fireside chat and gain further insight into

Speakers

ROLAND YEOW | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, BOY'S TOWN

Roland is the Executive Director of Boys’ Town. He was recognised as a Youth Worker when he first joined the social service sector in 2004. Since then, his passion continues to evolve into non-profit management and leadership. His vision for the social service sector includes a key emphasis on strong organizational values, and to identify and develop people who care for others.

As an appointed Social Service Fellow, he is involved in various professional settings in the social service sector and this includes research, training and conference presentation on his domain of expertise and interest. He looks towards imparting his knowledge as mentor and coach to the current and future social service professionals.

With his experience in serving on various boards and committees, he brings insights His passion toward organizing and aligning people toward a common goal and striving toward balancing the ideal and reality for the overall development of the social service sector.

MAE TAN | CO-FOUNDER, KAMPUNGKAKIS

Ms Mae Tan is the Co-founder of KampungKakis, a ground-up movement that matches needy families and seniors with volunteers in the same neighbourhood. The neighbourhood-based buddy system aims to ignite the “kampung” spirit and foster enduring bonds between neighbors for a more resilient community support network.

2.5 years on, the organisation is now a registered non-profit which has a base of more than 1,800 volunteers and supports over 700 beneficiary households islandwide.

A champion for psychosocial well-being of Seniors by night (and weekends), and a financial inclusion proponent by day, Mae has been in the fintech and payments industry for the past 8 years. She is currently Senior Global Partnerships Manager at GoTo Financial, the fintech arm of GoTo Group, which is driving access to the digital economy for millions of underbanked consumers in Indonesia.

Beyond her work, Mae is also a certified Yoga Instructor and has been a Children’s Dance Teacher for the past 14 years.
